Esther Berube has worked in advancing practices that are good for people, profits, and the planet for over 20 years in environmental consulting and government. Over the past 10 years at Metro Vancouver (aka the GVRD), her focus has been on protecting air quality and public health as well as reducing greenhouse gas emissions from various industrial, commercial, and residential sources through strategic education, information exchange, and regulation. She is a professional engineer trained in agricultural and environmental sciences who leads Metro Vancouver’s air quality bylaw development team. Esther values deep listening and learning from everyone that has a perspective on an issue in order to develop effective, evidence-based solutions together.
