Anyone who has created a plant composition knows that some plants dominate and take over and others do not. The measure of how compatible plants are with other plants is referred to as plant sociability. Using examples from urban landscapes, Egan Davis will illustrate how to best use plants with a high or a low sociability factor. Learn how to quickly assess the Sociability of plants by recognizing aspects of their form and growth habits. In this interactive session, students will have a chance to practice evaluating plant sociability.
