Topic

From the Ground Up: Digging in to Soil Health

The “soil health” movement has come into the limelight with increasing evidence that healthy soils can be a key ally in the fight against climate change and dwindling global food security – if properly managed. In this session, participants will learn how to make more sense of the sometimes conflicting messages about the meaning of soil health and how to critically evaluate opportunities and limitations of regenerative farming practices and amendments on soil health. Participants will also learn about the pros and cons of some health assessment techniques and how to interpret the results.
