Training Resources and Programs that will Increase Skills, Productivity, and Team Retention

In this era of workforce shortages, it is challenging to train new staff and necessary to increase the skill
and productivity levels of your team. Your association membership gives you access to many training
resources and programs. In this session, Jeff will outline all the various programs, who they are geared
towards and how to take advantage of them. There are resources for all sectors of the industry
(retailers, growers, and landscapers). The programs have been proven to increase staff retention, skill,
productivity, and safety awareness. Special emphasis will be made on the new Landscape Horticulture
Certification Program, which has been recently streamlined and been made more accessible than ever.
The registration fee for this seminar can be applied in full towards the exam fee for the LHCP.

His experience working for the RCMP as an operational police officer, tasked with traffic law enforcement and crash investigation, exposed him to the day-to-day situations that occur on the roads. Terry brings his expertise to Advantage Fleet Services Inc., a company dedicated to helping organizations address driving issues. They assist clients in managing their fleet while reducing or eliminating vehicle incidents.

Hauling a trailer full of equipment can be challenging, and when you add the stress of getting to a job on time, carelessness can take over. Keep your crew and yourself safe on the roads and avoid any serious business liability issues. This session will cover the key safety checks you need to perform before towing a trailer, including proper load placement, hitch set up, calculating how much weight a truck can tow, licensing requirements, and the importance of due diligence.
