Quality Water for Quality Plants

14:45 – 15:45

Water is the most important input for ornamental horticulture: you need good quality water and enough of it! In this session, Dr. West will review water source quality and how your production practices can put that water at risk and share the results of a recent research study comparing in-pond treatments to improve pond water quality. Then, Dr. Huber will explore key water quality issues and treatments options for contaminants of concern. Particular focus will be given to novel hybrid treatment systems and how they can be customized to a farm’s requirements based on research findings over the last decade.
